Fergus Kennedy who is a member of the I.K.H.G. has just published a book ‘ Ballybunion to the River Kwai’.
Fergus is a medical doctor, born in Waterford, now residing in Canada, who traces his Kennedy roots back to North Tipperary.
Fergus researched his family history, and being intrigued by the experiences of his father, Don, in World War Two. decided to write a book. Don Kennedy, was captured and as a prisoner of war, became a slave labourer on the infamous River Kwai Railway. The book, detailing the life and times of Don Kennedy, is a most interesting read.
Well done Fergus on putting it all down on paper.
